What happens during Seasoned Worker Events?
There are many stories being shared at these events. Seasoned folks from every background sharing the commonality of being 50 years of age or older in a modern, worldwide economy. These are the same people who built our nation into the most powerful country on earth. It was their efforts during the Twentieth Century that has laid the groundwork for a new, exciting Twenty-First century. People with varied economic backgrounds, career experiences and educational histories melded together in the discussion of the issues and opportunities in an aging workforce. Discussions that take place with progressive employers who understand the needs of the workplace and respect the contributions the seasoned worker contribute.
Attendees are discovering new opportunities for full and part-time employment. They are encouraged to learn new skills, especially the new technologies, and take advantage of the numerous services available through CareerCenters, local and regional educational organizations and numerous other public and private agencies.
